What a gem in Watson Lake, Yukon! The location is easily accessible from the ALCAN (Is within eyesight). The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are immaculately clean. The owners, Mike and Claudia, are among the nicest people I have ever met. Both of them treat you better than most families do, and for that, I will return to the Air Force Lodge every time I pass through. Thanks for a great stay! P.S. If you enjoy American military history, this is a MUST stop!

My father and I stayed there while travelling on the Alaska Highway. The owner is extremely polite and passionate about the history of the town of Watson Lake. The property was a US Military installation so there are multiple two bed rooms with shared bathroom and shower. The bathrooms and showers were spotlessly clean and the showers were modern and spacious. The Air Force Lodge is by far the best place to stay in Watson Lake, my father and I were both extremely happy with our stay and would absolutely stay there again. The prices are extremely good for being that far north and on the Alaska Highway.

Host (owners) were very courteous and friendly. Facility is very clean. Had very nice conversation and learned a lot of history of the building. Great stop along the way to Anchorage with my son.

This had been the cleanest place we have stayed on our travel from the States to the dempster. The owner is so kind and is full of interesting historical information on the area and is fun to talk to. The building had a fascinating history as a restored pilots barracks from world war II. His work to have it moved from town to this area and the work to repair it are amazing. The rooms do not have private bathrooms, but the latrines are so clean it was not a problem.

Personable owners. Priced well. Clean room and facilities. Comfortable bed. Good wifi. Full-length mirror in room. Washcloth included in room linens, something often missing in Canadian accommodations. In the women's shower room, thoughtful touches include a weight scale, a retractable, close-up personal mirror, and rather nice shampoo/conditioner supplies, if needed. A head's-up: Only one flat pillow in the bedroom, so bring in your own if you've got 'em.

Stayed there while travelling the Alaska Highway, stopped without a reservation, and made the best possible choice there! Highly recommend it for anyone staying in Watson Lake. It has shared bathrooms, as the building kept it's original form as an former Air Force barracks, but that was not an issue as there're a few bathrooms and they're spotlessly clean, same as the rooms itself. Had a good chat with the owner, Michael, a very friendly and helpful guy! Had a few recommendations for the upcoming trip and insightful stories about the place / people of Watson Lake. He and his wife made this lodge stand out from all other lodges or motels I stayed in during my trips!

Spotless, safe, and secluded. Highly recommend. Watson Lake is full of sketchy motels, and Air Force Lodge is on the other end of the spectrum. The bed quilt has a strong smell to me, not unclean, but the only way to describe it is that it smells like Mike, the owner...who is lovely, and can talk without end. XD
